Animal Care Services (ACS) Volunteer Program

NOTE: We are currently operating with a limited capacity and are not able to process new volunteer applications. We are working diligently to increase our ability to accept new volunteers.

Requirements

• Must love and enjoy dogs and cats.
• Minimum ages to volunteer with a parent on-site is 14-17 years old. The parent must be present at all times.
• All volunteers (including parents) must attend an orientation.
• All onsite volunteers (including parents) must complete a background check.

Community Service Restitution

Community service restitution must be scheduled and approved ahead of time.

Shelter Paws Program

Our Shelter Paws program lets you take a dog for the day - or even a few hours - in the hopes of making that dog more friendly and adoptable, and giving the dog a break from the shelter! Take a walk in the park, go for a hike or a run, watch a movie at home, or get a puppuccino!

Requirements 

• Be 18 years old
• Have a photo ID
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Be dog friendly
