Cuisine varies from truck to truck, with menus featuring options such as:

  • barbecue
  • traditional Mexican cuisine
  • juicy burgers
  • other lip-smacking options
  • delicious desserts

Do you have a suggestion for a truck you’d like to see? Encourage them to join the program!

Apply

The vending period runs from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

Step 1.Required Documents

Application

NOTE: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Complete the application and submit the following:

  • completed and signed Vending Permit Application
  • current Texas Picture I.D.
  • copy of State of Texas Sales Tax and Use Permit
  • copy of Current Health Permit (no photos of window decal)
  • copy of Fire Inspection (no photos of window decal)
  • Certificate of Insurance (City of San Antonio listed as Additionally Insured)
  • menu with prices
  • four color photos of your food truck/trailer (front, rear, left, right sides)
  • dimensions of truck/trailer and vehicle photos (for trailers)

For help, contact Jaime Hernandez at 210-207-3677 or stop by the Downtown Operations Division Office. Applications are accepted Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Step 2.Submit Application

Applications are accepted via email to Downtown Vending or can be submitted in person at 400 N. St. Mary's St., Suite 100 during regular office hours.

An application may be dropped off on a walk-in basis, but an appointment is highly encouraged.
