Approved by City Council, the proactive apartment inspections program began April 2, 2023, with the goal of providing safer housing conditions for renters, ensuring they meet San Antonio Property Maintenance Code standards.
The City has created and maintains a dashboard showing number of inspections, violations, and citations issued. Included is the list of the complexes cited for violations and now registered in the program. Any apartment complex receiving three designated citations, as listed on the fact sheet (PDF), within a rolling six-month period or ordered by the Building Standards Board will be subject to this program.
