Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP)

We are working towards a San Antonio where housing is affordable for all. This 10-year plan focuses on meeting the housing affordability needs of people, families and communities with low incomes.

Affordable Housing Bond Program

The goal of the Housing Bond Program is to create and preserve affordable housing. The 2022 Housing Bond targets five funding priority categories approved by City Council with voter support.

Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Program

The Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Program is part of our city's Strategic Housing Implementation Plan (SHIP).

Displacement Prevention

The Displacement Impact Assessment helps contextualize proposed new housing developments. By learning more about the neighborhood where the development is proposed, policy makers can make more informed development decisions.

Housing Commission

The Housing Commission oversees the Strategic Housing Implementation Plan. Monthly public meetings are held to discuss initiatives. Sub-committees help inform discussion and distribute information about affordable housing.

Office of Urban Redevelopment (OUR SA)

The goal of OUR SA is to develop strategies to help communities by supporting housing affordability. This includes programs that revitalize and rehab current homes, while providing access to services related to housing access.
