ADU Permit-Ready Plan Library

In March 2024, the City issued a solicitation to receive ADU Permit-Ready Plans.

Design professionals submitted Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Permit-Ready Plan designs for consideration. The selected plans will be available for residents to use and connect with designers on in October 2024. Residents who use a permit-ready plan and earn at 80% of the area median income (AMI) or less may have permit fees waived. More information will be featured on ADU Incentives page in Fall 2024 for more details on how to qualify for additional incentive funding to construct an ADU. Permit-Ready Plans

The City will offer a library of permit-ready plans that residents can use. The following plans have been approved by the City’s Development Services Department. Using a permit-ready plan will save prospective ADU-builders time and money. These plans include ADU floor plan designs and 100% construction (vertical) plans that are not site-specific, so you don’t have to start from scratch.

The Modulator: Permit-Ready Plan 1
Designed by A-Digital, LLC, this is a 309 square foot ADU ideal for minimalist living or use as a studio. It includes a full bathroom and kitchenette.
The Habitat: Permit-Ready Plan 2
Designed by A-Digital, LLC, this is a 503 square foot ADU ideal for individuals or couples. It features one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a social area.
The Maricela: Permit-Ready Plan 3
Designed by Our Casas Residents Council, Inc., this is a 375 square foot ADU. It features one bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen/dining area, and space for a stackable washer/dryer.
The Santiago: Permit-Ready Plan 4
Designed by Our Casas Resident Council, Inc., this is a 675 square foot or 530 square foot ADU Plan. The design can be two-bedroom or one-bedroom depending on what best fits your needs. It also features one bathroom and a kitchen/dining area.
Hideaway Haven: Permit-Ready Plan 5
Designed by Studio Plearn, this is a 490 square foot ADU plan. It blends modern and traditional styles, featuring a shaded porch and energy-efficient design.
Inside Out: Permit-Ready Plan 6
Designed by Studio Plearn, this is a 794 square foot ADU plan. It blends modern and traditional styles, featuring a shaded porch and energy-efficient design.
HinterHause 800: Permit-Ready Plan 7
Designed by StudioMassivo and Timberlyne Group, this is a 800 square foot ADU plan. It features an airy living space with seamless outdoor connections, built with a metal roof and natural wood siding.
