The Office of the City Clerk is committed to preserving the heritage and culture of San Antonio by preserving records of enduring historical value.
Our Archives document the history, organization, policies, function, decisions, and activities of the City and City Council. Examples are the City Charter, minutes of official meetings, ordinances, resolutions, and key contribution of our City’s leaders.
Records may be in digital format or physical format such as: paper, microfiche/film, photographs, drawings, maps, film, audio and visual material. The Office of the City Clerk also holds artifacts and official gifts presented to the City.
