Vision Zero Team

Project Implementation Manager, Venessa Garza

Venessa Garza

Venessa handles the creation of our design features and installations across the City. This includes designs for pedestrian and bike amenities.

She comes to us from the City of College Station, where she worked as a Planning Administrator to create and plan bicycle, pedestrian and greenway capital projects. She’s also very familiar with drafting policies and ordinance amendments to help create a safer space in San Antonio for those who choose to pedal or walk.

What San Antonio’s transportation future looks like to me:

"San Antonio’s transportation future to me is a city where people of all backgrounds have the ability to choose a safe and reliable transportation option."

There, he managed project communications and collaborated with engineers and construction managers, utility agencies, consultants and planners to ensure best methods for multimodal transportation on our City’s streets.

"A safer commute for anyone who travels across San Antonio, no matter if their travels are by car, on foot, on bike or on a bus."

Special Projects Manager, Teena Bailey

Teena Bailey

Teena is the Special Projects Manager. She enjoys being on the Vision Zero team because of the diversity of the projects we work on, and the amazing group-dynamic within the team. She finds it both challenging and rewarding to help make a difference in the community.

What San Antonio’s transportation future looks like to me:

"I want to see San Antonio incorporate transit options, vanpooling, carpooling, and possible telecommuting options. Getting education and outreach to the public is imperative for the success of these many programs."
