You're invited to River Art Group & Gallery's riverARTober Outdoor Art Fair at Historic La Villita Historic Arts Village! The gallery is celebrating 75 years, with artists from across Texas displaying their beautiful handmade arts, crafts, and more. Craft Tuesday: Pumpkin Decorating

When: Tuesday, October 10, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., FREE

You’re invited to a free, family-friendly, DIY Pumpkin Decorating event at our inaugural Craft Tuesday series starting October 10! Light bites and beverages will be available for purchase from La Villita Café and local Mexican wine shop, Casa Guipzot. Enter for a chance to win door prizes from some of our amazing village artists. Downtown Tuesday free parking begins at 5 p.m. in City-owned lots and garages. Lunch at La Villita

When: Thursday, October 12, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Solas Dance Studio Presents Visions of October

When: Saturday, October 21, 6 p.m., ticketed event

Solas is a San Antonio based pre-professional contemporary dance company that also performs ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop. They will present their Visions of October performance at the Arneson River Theatre at La Villita. For more information, please visit their website.

Marisol Deluna Foundation 2023 Community Fashion Show

When: Sunday, October 22, gates open at 2 p.m., fashion show at 3 p.m., FREE

Celebrate an afternoon of fashion in honor of the Linda Luna Duffy Creative Hope Initiative with the Marisol Deluna Foundation’s 2023 Community Fashion Show. The event will also feature a fashion pop-up shop and refreshments. For more information, please visit their website.

Day of the Dead San Antonio River Parade and Festival

Join us at the San Antonio River Walk for the Day of the Dead River Parade on Friday, October 27. See elaborately decorated floats with altars, catrinas, and costumed riders all celebrating life and loved ones. The festivities continue Friday through Sunday at La Villita with music, food, and free family fun honoring Day of the Dead traditions. Cultural Celebration: Día de los Muertos

When: Saturday, October 28and Sunday, October 29, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., FREE

Bring the family out to enjoy beautiful altars built in memory of departed loved ones and celebrate with cultural processions. The annual event will also showcase performances by live Mariachi bands and ballet folklorico dancers. Festivities include face painting, Día de los Muertos stilt characters, Happy Tails petting zoo, artisans, festive food, and authentic market shopping all weekend. Artpace’s 20th Annual Chalk It Up Festival (Legacy Park & Houston Street)

When: Saturday, October 14, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., FREE

Artpace Chalk It Up welcomes the community to Houston Street for its 20thanniversary festival to collaborate on large-scale chalk murals, participate in educational art activities, and meet artists working in our community. San Antonio Fitness & Health Expo

Nourish’d Seeds is hosting their first Fitness, Health, and Wellness Expo in Travis Park. The event will have a range of vendors focused on health and nutrition, workshops and seminars led by fitness experts, and a morning yoga class for VIP ticket holders.
