Police believe more victims possible
SAN ANTONIO - The arrested person tied up, sexually assaulted a woman and police believe there could be more victims who have yet to come forward.
The suspect Jamie Ray Rencher, 47, used social media to target the victim and facilitate an in-person meeting in the Houston area. After meeting the victim, Rencher destroyed the victim’s cell phone, tied up and sexually assaulted the victim. Rencher transported the victim to San Antonio and expressed a desire to keep her hidden, but the victim was able to find help.
Rencher was arrested Dec 31, 2024, for Aggravated Kidnapping with Intent to Sexually Abuse. There are more charges pending. Rencher is currently at the Bexar County Jail. The investigation is active and ongoing.
During the investigation, facts were uncovered that led detectives to believe there could be more victims. Those details are part of the ongoing investigation.
