Services will resume following a scheduled roof replacement.

SAN ANTONIO (June 10, 2024) – San Antonio Public Library’s (SAPL) Bazan Branch will reopen at noon on June 10 after a total replacement of the library’s metal roof system and downspouts.

Bazan Branch, located at 2200 W. Commerce St., closed on April 29 for scheduled maintenance to repair the hail-damaged roof. The reopening signals a return to regular service at Bazan. The library will be open Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Summer with SAPL is in full swing, and Bazan Branch has a host of programs and activities starting immediately. For a full list of upcoming events and programs at Bazan Branch, visit the library’s website.

Holds will return to Bazan Branch Library for pickup by patrons beginning Monday, June 10.

Located on the city’s west side near downtown, Bazan Branch Library originally opened in 1977. The location was named after Isabel G. Bazan, a former librarian at the San Antonio Public Library.
