Brook Hollow Branch Library Reopens this Saturday, July 29

Readers Can Cool Off and Dive Back into Books with the Location’s New Air Conditioning System

SAN ANTONIO (July 27, 2023) – San Antonio Public Library’s (SAPL) Brook Hollow Branch will reopen to the public this Saturday, July 29 at 10 a.m. following a replacement of the library’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system.

Brook Hollow Branch, located at 530 Heimer Rd, 78232, closed in late April for the scheduled maintenance. The reopening signals a return to regular service for the Brook Hollow Branch. Beginning July 29, Brook Hollow will be open Monday and Tuesday from noon—8 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m.—6 p.m.  

The upgrade to the building’s HVAC systems will help maintain a comfortable environment for Brook Hollow patrons and staff.

During the closure, interim library service has been provided at the Walker Ranch Senior Center (835 W. Rhapsody Dr., 78216). The final day for interim service will be Friday, July 28.

The Brook Hollow Branch Library originally opened in 1983. It was remodeled and expanded in 1997.
