Community Meetings Announced for Proposed Cultural Heritage District

SAN ANTONIO (July 17, 2024) – The City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation invites the community to participate in a series of meetings to discuss the establishment of a new Cultural Heritage District in City Council District 1. This initiative aims to recognize the cultural significance of the area along North Main Avenue and celebrate the contributions of the LGTBQIA+ community in San Antonio. This process is the result of a collaboration between District 1 Councilmember Dr. Sukh Kaur and District 2 Councilmember Jalen McKee-Rodriguez and their respective offices.

Three community meetings will be held to gather input from residents and stakeholders:
