District 1 Introduces New Initiative to Improve Public Safety

SAN ANTONIO (June 26, 2024) – Councilmember Dr. Sukh Kaur is introducing a new initiative aimed at improving public safety by increasing the number of street lights in District 1. Residents are encouraged to provide their input to identify areas in need of better lighting.

"Studies consistently show that well-lit streets contribute significantly to reducing crime and improving pedestrian safety,” the Councilmember said. “By engaging residents in identifying priority areas for new street lights, we aim to leverage community-driven decisions that directly benefit our neighborhoods."
