District 10 Councilmember Applauds the City and Fire Union’s Tentative Agreement

SAN ANTONIO (August 26, 2024) – Following the announcement of a tentative agreement by the San Antonio Professional Firefighters Association and the City of San Antonio, Councilmember Whyte shared his thoughts:

“I’m very pleased that we reached a deal with our firefighters late Friday night. We are fortunate in San Antonio to have the best fire department in the country, and following this deal, they will be paid like it. Thank you to the negotiators on both sides of the table for their hard work in getting this deal done.”

The City Council will vote on this tentative agreement in the coming months.
