SAN ANTONIO (March 13, 2025) – Yesterday evening, residents of Royston Avenue, City of San Antonio Public Works, SA Concepts, and the District 5 team celebrated the completion of work on the 600 and 700 blocks of Royston Avenue.

The project scope included a full street reconstruction to upgrade the asphalt street to concrete, complete sidewalk reconstruction for pedestrian safety, along with alleviating flooding concerns.

“Our team is grateful for Public Works and SA Concepts’ steadfast work and communication to make this neighborhood project whole,” Councilmember Teri Castillo continued, “Our residents have waited patiently for resolution of their neighborhood infrastructure, and we are grateful to celebrate the end result: a safer neighborhood with essential infrastructure that prevents flooding and provides accessibility and mobility.”

Public Works Deputy Director Anthony Chukwudolue said, “We are excited to have completed this transformative project for the District 5 community. This was a challenging road reconstruction project, but we worked hand-in-hand with the residents and the Council Office to provide a quality final product. We appreciate their patience and feedback.”

District 5 residents are encouraged to reach out to the office for any infrastructure concerns and requests at 210-207-0960.
