District 9 Councilmember Hosts Back-to-School Event

SAN ANTONIO (July 22, 2024) – District 9 City Councilmember John Courage invites students and their families to enjoy free paletas at a back-to-school event from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 2 at Walker Ranch Senior Center, 835 W. Rhapsody Drive. District 9 will distribute more than 550 backpacks stuffed with supplies (including pencils, crayons, notebooks, and more) to K-12 grade students. In addition, a variety of vendors will provide free back-to-school services, such as dental kits from Imagine Dental, haircuts from Super Cuts, and immunization information.
