Fee-waived pet adoptions at the municipal shelter on February 9.

SAN ANTONIO (February 7, 2025) – Hundreds of local pets are hoping to score a family this Super Bowl Sunday. San Antonio Animal Care Services (SAACS) is hosting fee-waived adoptions this Sunday, February 9, 2025—and it’s sure to be a real touchdown for pet lovers. The fun runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shelter, located at 4710 State Highway 151.

If you’re not a fan of the teams playing this year, head to the shelter for the new SAACS Sunday Funday—a monthly event happening every second Sunday. With this Sunday’s event coinciding with Super Bowl LIX, now is the time to check out the shelter’s four-legged free agents looking to be drafted onto their forever teams.

All SAACS pets are totally game-ready and come to their home team spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. SAACS-adopted dogs qualify for lifetime access to the shelter’s trainers for guidance and training opportunities.

Would-be adopters can review the roster of pets wide open for adoption at SA.gov/ACS. It’s a guaranteed win so don’t fumble this opportunity to draft your own MVP (Most Valuable Pet). Standard SAACS adoption policies and procedures apply.
