Residents Invited to Provide Feedback on Westside Community Area Plan

SAN ANTONIO (September 25, 2023) — Residents are invited to provide feedback, ask questions, and receive updates on the draft Westside Community Area Plan through an open house hosted by the City of San Antonio Planning Department. The open house will be held this Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until noon at the Good Samaritan Community Center, 1600 Saltillo St, 78207.

The planning process for the Westside Community Area Plan was initiated in 2017 and is part of the work effort to implement the City’s SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by City Council in 2016. Throughout the planning process the City has organized numerous stakeholder meetings to engage residents and gather feedback about how the area can develop and build on its existing assets to fulfill the community’s vision.  

The City collaborated with residents, business owners, and area stakeholders to develop draft recommendations and strategies for the area. When adopted, the Plan will be used by City departments, partner agencies, private entities, and community partners to support livable, and equitable communities. 

Opportunities to provide input for the plan will also be available on the plan website, and via email. The deadline for comments is Sunday, October 29, 2023.
