Resolve Warrants, Avoid Arrest at Municipal Court

SAN ANTONIO (February 24, 2025) — From February 24 to March 8, 2025, the San Antonio Municipal Court will offer multiple options to assist individuals avoid costly legal trouble related to outstanding City of San Antonio traffic and Class C misdemeanor citations. During the annual Warrant Resolution campaign, the Court will open on two Saturdays and offer virtual court sessions to provide more opportunities for resolution.

Individuals lacking resources or facing difficulties are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Citation and warrant status can be verified by utilizing the Traffic/Criminal Case Search tool available on the Court’s website.

“Our annual Warrant Resolution Campaign gives people the chance to work with our judges and staff to resolve their citations without the fear of arrest,” Municipal Court Presiding Judge Carla Obledo said. “Clearing warrants helps people avoid escalating fines, legal issues, and challenges with employment or housing. Last year, the campaign helped our community resolve approximately 12,000 warrants.”

In-Person Appearances & Saturday Hours

An in-person appearance is the best way to discuss an individual’s situation and options with a judge and find the best resolution. Those with Class C warrants will not be arrested. Normal business hours remain Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To accommodate individuals unable to visit during these hours, the Court will open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on two Saturdays on the following dates:

  • Saturday, March 1 
  • Saturday, March 8

No appointments are necessary. The Court building is located at 401 S Frio. Free on-site parking is available.

Online Resolution

Most cases, including traffic, civil, and parking citations may be resolved quickly through the Court's Online Payment System.

Virtual Court Sessions

For individuals unable to visit in person, the Court will conduct online dockets for eligible cases via Zoom from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on two Fridays on the following dates:

  • Friday, February 28 
  • Friday, March 7

Individuals can use their citation number to check if their case qualifies. Information on accessing the virtual sessions is provided on the Court’s website.
