Resource Fair to Help High School Graduates with Future Plans

SAN ANTONIO (July 23, 2024) – With recent high school graduates preparing to start college and others looking for employment, the City of San Antonio’s Department of Human Services (DHS) has partnered with cafécollege to host a LEVEL UP Resource Fair. The event is on Saturday, July 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Roosevelt Clubhouse, 331 Roosevelt Ave., 78210.

Although it targets recent high school graduates, anyone between the ages of 16 to 24 who needs support completing their financial aid application (FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid), assistance with college enrollment requirements, a job or figuring out their interests can attend.

  • San Antonio Independent School District Postsecondary Navigators
  • Communities In Schools College Campus Navigators 
  • Project Quest

Graduating high school can feel overwhelming in a young person’s life. The LEVEL UP Resource Fair aims to help answer their questions. Youth and young adults can access support free of charge that includes:

  • identifying an education or career pathway
  • financial aid assistance: completing the FAFSA for the first time or needing to fix errors
  • transitioning support to enter college
  • help finding a job or career exploration
  • support with challenges young adults may be having with housing, food and childcare
  • applying to go back to high school or get a GED
