Updates on Broadway Road Closures

Temporary closures during the filming of Paramount+’s TV Series, 1923.


SAN ANTONIO (September 20, 2024) — The City of San Antonio and other local entities are working to facilitate the filming of Paramount+’s TV Series 1923 in downtown San Antonio. Expect varying closures along Broadway between E. Pecan St. and E. Houston St., including E. Travis St. & Peacock Alley from Jefferson St. to N. Alamo St. Most area businesses will remain open and accessible, except for the morning of September 23.

While subject to change, anticipated impacts to this area include:

September 20 – 24, 2024

  • Sidewalks open except on September 23.
  • Road closure on Broadway from E. Pecan St. to E. Houston St.
  • Road closure on E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
  • Road closure on Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St. 

September 23, 2024 

  • Full closure of streets and sidewalks on:
    • Broadway between E. Pecan St. and E. Houston St.
    • E. Travis St. from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
    • Peacock Alley from Jefferson to N. Alamo St.
  • Sidewalks estimated to reopen in early afternoon. 

By or before September 27, 2024

  • Filming closure area will be fully restored; all services will resume normal operations.
