Regional Planning Projects

The Regional Planning Division administers the City’s Annexation and Growth Management Policy by:

  • completing Municipal and Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) boundary adjustments and voluntary annexations
  • coordinating on activities and issues that cross City boundaries
  • processing requests for the creation of Special Districts
  • partnering with regional planning agencies

Approved Projects

The Regional Planning Division negotiates and processes legal agreements between other cities and landowners in the City’s ETJ by preparing information and recommendations for items requiring Council action by ordinance or resolution. For more information, visit the Special Districts page.
